• The site is provided “as is,” with no warranties, and our liability for any claim is capped at $100 (yes, really).
• Maryland law governs. Any disputes go to courts in Southern Maryland.
• These Terms are subject to change at any time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of simciasecurity.com (the “Site”), operated by SIMCIA Security, LLC (“SIMCIA Security,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The Site is informational

The Site is a marketing website for SIMCIA Security, LLC. It does not host an application or service, does not provide an account or login, and does not transact business. Engaging SIMCIA Security for any consulting, compliance, or human-risk work is governed by a separate written agreement between you and SIMCIA Security — nothing on the Site constitutes such an agreement.

2. Permitted use

You may use the Site to:

• Read content for informational purposes.
• Contact us about engagement opportunities.
• Share links to public Site pages with attribution.

3. Prohibited use

You may not:

• Reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit Site content without prior written permission.
• Use the Site or its content to train machine-learning models.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Site by automated means.
• Probe, scan, or attempt to compromise the Site or any system that supports it.
• Impersonate SIMCIA Security or misrepresent your relationship with us.
• Use the Site in violation of applicable law.

4. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including any violation of these Terms. The provisions on intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, severability, and notices survive any termination.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and the “SIMCIA,” “SIMCIA Security,” and “SIMCIA Engage” marks — is owned by SIMCIA Security, LLC or used under license, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for the permitted uses above.

6. Third-party links and content

The Site may link to third-party websites or services (for example, Calendly for scheduling). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those third parties.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. SIMCIA SECURITY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT INFORMATION ON THE SITE IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMCIA SECURITY, LLC AND ITS PRINCIPALS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SIMCIA Security, LLC from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Southern Maryland, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time, without prior notice. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement, constitute the entire agreement between you and SIMCIA Security, LLC regarding your use of the Site, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals on the same subject.

14. Notices

Legal notices to SIMCIA Security under these Terms must be sent to hello@simciasecurity.com with the subject line “Legal notice.” We may give notice to you by posting on the Site, by email to any address you have provided, or by any other reasonable means.
